Therapy provides an environment of acceptance and understanding, allowing you to face the difficulties and challenges you’re experiencing in a safe environment. Together, we will work to understand feelings and resolve difficulties that might be getting in the way of your happiness and well-being. Drawing upon earlier life experiences and relationships will help us make connections and understand your current situation. I create a warm, caring and safe environment for you to do this work.

Couples Counselling

You don’t have to walk away.

For many, creating and sustaining strong, healthy relationships can be incredibly difficult.

If you and your partner have reached an impasse, are experiencing communication breakdowns regularly and you feel as though you’re slipping away from one another, I can help. The couples I work with are usually stuck in a hotbed of miscommunication and have fears of being abandoned by the other person, either emotionally or physically.
Many couples go through this and it takes courage and strength to come to therapy and share your story. I practice couples counseling using Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) based on the work by Dr. Sue Johnson. This approach honours each individual, recognizing each person’s inherent emotional needs.

If you or your partner are ready to make a powerful change in your relationship, give me a call or send me an email!

Women’s Group

Being in a group is a powerful way to deepen self-awareness and create authentic connection with others. Sometimes we feel totally alone in our struggle, but group therapy can provide a sense of community and compassion. Group members serve as mirrors, reflecting many facets of ourselves. If you are curious to learn more I would highly recommend reading this New York Times article portrays one individual’s experience of the power of group therapy.
